Correspondant is the ongoing enterprise of Jennifer Cardini, established in 2011 in conjunction with renowned worldwide distributor, Kompakt Records. Its elegant and asymmetrical aesthetic profile has been inspired by the downtempo, cinematic mixing of Cardini’s warm-up sets at Rex. Following suit, the label’s success has followed the trajectory of Cardini’s, sky rocketing upwards.

To date, the Correspondant discography spans over fifty projects. Its most recent offering comes as their 5th compilation, featuring a long list of label mates and friends, from Colli Alban (DJ Tennis & Margot) and Fort Romeau to previous contributors Red Axes and Man Power. Celebrating another hectic summer for the label as Cardini and friends host a series of showcases across Europe, the 15-track project shows the world that Correspondant has a synthetic heart of punk which pumps glacial disco through its frozen veins.

One of these showcases happened at the beginning of the month behind the camera, seeing them host their own Boiler Room Berlin showcase. Also hosting regular nights in international clubs, including Rex Club in Paris, Nitsa Barcelona, Fabric in London, and Bootleg in Tel Aviv, there’s now many an occasion to catch the label in action spinning their favourites. However, we thought we’d bring the party right to you and invite Correspondant to host their own Tracks Of The Day takeover.

Selecting inspiring tracks that have influenced their production over the years, seven of the label’s artist take to the series’ stage. Expect work spanning the electronic music spectrum; from DJ Koze and Legowelt to Brian Eno and Daft Punk.
