It’s been 8 years since the first stage created from an old caravan was set up in the uninhabited Bygrave Woods – but Farr Festival has now become one of the most impressive and organically forward-thinking festival set ups in the whole of the UK. The Hertfordshire festival invites some of the most impressive names in the world of electronic and world music to play across their stages; previous line ups have played host to names like world class selector Gilles Peterson, Hivern Discs’ John Talabot, Move D, Joy Orbison, Ben UFO and many, many more.

This year, Farr Festival has called upon another glorious line up to revel in the woods. Featuring names like Floating Points, Omar S, Sadar Bahar, Mano Le Tough, DJ Tennis, Young Marco and Honey Dijon – Farr Festival rivals some of the world’s finest. Farr has branched out into the realms of neo-soul and R&B, inviting Brit Award nominee Nao for her debut festival performance, as well as London-based musician Jordan Rakei to perform at one of its stages. They’re also representing a new wave of dancehall, dub and reggae DJs and artists; welcoming General Levy, Bonzai, Shanti and radio regular Becca D to the proceedings.

Dalston audiophile venue Brilliant Corners will also be hosting a yurt for the first time, fitting out the venue with their London-renowned Klipsch sound system for selectors like Donna Leake, Cedric Woo, Jonny Rock, Brian Not Brian and the venue’s founders Amit & Aneesh. An additional debut this year will be Farr’s new ambient stage hosted by Inverted Audio. Hazy late night listening will be provided by experimental artists like Machine Woman and Muller & Cass, whilst Giegling regular Leafar Legov, Huerco S and Sad City will be bringing highly-anticipated live sets. In addition to these will be DJ sets from L.I.E.S.’ Terekke plus Smallville’s Jacques Bon.

Commencing Thursday 13th July, Farr’s line up will be joined alongside the best in independent shops and boutiques, wonderful street food and other activities like Hip-Hop Yoga and Guided Meditation; you can even submerge at Hot Tub Wonderlandia or catch a film at the Picture House for some necessary downtime.

As one of our favourite UK festivals (if we’re allowed to have favourites…), we have the pleasure of bringing you a Farr Festival takeover for our Tracks Of The Day series. Each day, a new selector will be sharing their woodland favourites, including Red Axes, Brian Not Brian, Orpheu The Wizard, Justin Carter, Timothy ‘Heretic’ Clerkin and Farr’s event director Oscar.

Stay tuned to hear all the selections and get excited for the festival!
