Bezier, AKA Robot Hustle AKA Robert Yang, is a San Francisco-based artist who primarily produces electronic music. He has been performing extensively under the moniker Bezier for nearly a decade now and has been a DJ since 2003. Bezier’s music has been lauded for its ethereal, distinctive, and forward thinking tone. One of the founding members of Honey Soundsystem, he’s been instrumental in pushing the electronic sounds of the underground across the west coast, promoting equality and LGBT rights in the process.
A multi-instrumentalist, at any of his live performances you will see him using an array of different instruments. His captivating and imaginative live performances are a result of his wonderfully innovative synth-based radio. Bezier’s music is a mixture of the uplifting style of So-Cal rave culture and modern dance/electronic fusion music. The artist has toured on nearly every continent, with his universally appealing sound finding a following in India, China, Portugal, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea.
Most popular works from the producer include the EPs Cosmologist, Mina, and Ensconced and Bezier has released several records for various San Francisco labels such as Jacktone, Break Up, and Dark Entries. His latest work is set to be published under HYNTRAX, and in recent years has released several records under the label including the aforementioned Cosmologist and Mina.
Looking to his DJing career, his tour schedule for 2016 was incredibly packed featuring nearly 100 performances across the globe. Bezier’s recordings offer a pleasant mix of upbeat and mellow styles. His next performance will be in Floyd, Miami on the 23rd of March so be sure to hit that up if you’re in town.
