Launching his career at the tender age of 19 with his The Love Quadrant 12” on the legendary R&S Records, Jack Hamill aka Space Dimension Controller has always been somewhat of an outsider. Rather than conforming to trends and popular sounds of the moment, Space Dimension Controller has always gone right on and done his own thing, be that cosmic funk, IDM influenced post-techno or bubbling EBM- and just about everything else in-between. His DJ sets are wonderfully eclectic; we had the pleasure of catching him play one of the pool parties at Bloc 2016 and were treated to a brilliantly selected range of disco, soul and funk oddities- and who can forget THAT clip of him dropping trance classic Ayla at AVA festival?

A firm believer in storytelling with his productions, Space Dimension Controller enjoys crafting unique and interesting characters and backstories to accompany each release, choosing to let the music act as a soundtrack to these tales. Not one to take himself too seriously, his tongue in cheek approach to production has earned him a large following over the years since his introduction to the wider world.

As part of our Babylon festival Tracks Of The Day takeover we’re pleased to present you four tracks selected by Space Dimension Controller that, in his own words, take him to another place. Expect cuts from Drexciya, the Beyond The Black Rainbow OST, Severed Heads and Mica Levi.
