German producer Rampa has a back catalogue most producers would salivate over. His uplifting and often atmospheric productions have featured on Sven Vath’s monolith Cocoon Recordings, world conquering Innervisions and Defected. It was back in ’09 that Rampa first started making waves with his label and collective Keinemusik. His frequent collaborator &ME can be counted in the ranks alongside Adam Port, Reznik and Monja.
The Berlin native has also been hard at work with his side project ‘TEILE‘, allowing fans of the signature Keinemusik sound to utilise sample packs, analogue effects and studio gear curated and designed by the crew. This self confessed nerdy obsession with production techniques has seen Rampa mature as an artist – incorporating live instruments into his productions.
Having taken a step away from the booth, focusing on quality over quantity, Rampa has been spending even more time in the studio which is certainly evident in his latest release. ‘528hz’, the title of the B-side, is touted as a healing frequency which repairs DNA and Rampa has transmitted soothing qualities into this mesmerising EP. He has picked out four sounds which represent themes he has communicated with the productions, treating us to an insight into the creative process of an extremely talented musician.
