“For 12 weeks the city is ours…”

This phrase has become something of a slogan for Manchester’s night life during the winter months. From September until January, Manchester, ‘the capital of the North’, is subject to 30+ events during The Warehouse Project’s annual appearance. As stated by the organisers themselves, “the concept is to deliver groundbreaking cross genre acts in a warehouse space across a three-month period.” Born in 2006, this event goliath has since invited hundreds of the most influential and prominent artists within the underground scene to perform in Manchester. It’s eclectic booking policy means that one night, people are able to indulge in a masterclass showcase of DJ skill from the likes of Ben UFO, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Moxie, with the preceding event presenting the live offerings of musicians such as Bonobo and Moderat.

2016 marks their 11th year on rotation and once again The Warehouse Project has pulled out all the stops. Kickstarting on Friday 23rd September, there are 42 parties planned until their New Year’s Day closer. Showcases and curated nights from Ninja Tune, Four Tet, Bugged Out!, Jackmaster & Numbers and Feel My Bicep are just a few of our top picks for the months ahead.

With only one week until the masses descend on Manchester for three months of partying, The Warehouse Project are taking over our Tracks Of The Day feature showcasing a snippet of what to expect. From Monday to Saturday, a new artist from the Warehouse roster will share four tracks under a focused theme, allowing you to become familiar with the series and some of its artists. Expect a variety of tunes from six of our favourite and most passionate selectors, and be sure to grab a ticket to one of the remaining shows if you haven’t already via the links below.
