Part of the In:Motion takeover

Dave Harvey is an influential and highly-valued member of the electronic music scene. He is the co-founder of Futureboogie Records, an electronic music powerhouse that we’re very fond of. Running for over a decade, it started as a club night in Bristol and is now a highly respected label. Since its first release back in 2011 with Julio Bashmore’s Father Father, the label has put out over forty records from the likes of Felix Dickinson, Fernando, PBR StreetGang and Outboxx, delivering uplifting, disco-influenced vibes. These releases have seen the label become a key player in the explosion of Bristol’s electronic music scene.

Alongside this, Team Love is the festival and event production company that Harvey runs alongside Tom Paine. They have worked for the several festivals and events, booking artists an running stages. Some of their big achievements include being assistant programmers at Glastonbury Festival’s Silver Hayes area, running the Wow stage there and of course running the incredibly popular Bristol festival: Love Saves the Day.

If all this wasn’t enough, he also DJs under the Futuireboogie name, and is set to perform at In:Motion in just over a week’s time. We’re delighted to have the opportunity of inviting this musical entrepreneur to Tracks Of The Day, where he has picked four favourite tracks to play during his sets – with a bonus track for good measure.

“Been playing this one all summer as well, I remember it being a big tune when it first came out. I was heavily into the Innervisions vibes then, probably around 2005/2006. My memory doesn’t go back that well – still sounds great today so will be keeping this in play for a while yet.”

“This track has been killing it for us all summer long. Still a firm favourite and by two of my very good friends, Ron Basejam and Neil Diablo, it’s got everything going for it on a personal note. This has been smashing it from the sunshine of Love International to the rain of Secret Garden, defo in the virtual box for Motion.”
