Part of the In:Motion takeover
Kickstarting the In:Motion takeover of our Tracks Of The Day we welcome Bristol-bred singer/ musician/ DJ/ producer Ben Westbeech, under his Breach alias. First tasting acclaim back in 2006 with the release of his debut single ‘So Good Today’ via the newly birthed Brownswood Recordings, Giles Peterson’s imprint, the preceding five years saw him release two albums under his own name. Known primarily as a singer/ songwriter first, in 2011 he created his house production alias Breach. His debut under this moniker, ‘Fatherless’, received high acclaim from the electronic music community and cemented this alias as one to watch.
Over the last five years he’s continued to excel, seeing the release of his hit track Jack in 2013, as well as working in collaboration with Midland, Cinnaman, Dark Sky, Kelis and Andreya Triana. He also started his own label Naked Naked, which has put out music from the likes of Viers, J. Tijn, Dusky, Lorca, as well as being used as a platform for his own productions. His DJing performances are also something to note. His selection is refined and his mixing clinical, making his sets always standout. Ahead of his appearance at the In:Motion series launch party next Friday, Breach has chosen four recent additions to his record bag, delivering an insight into what he’s listening to at the moment.
