Kieron Ifill hasn’t made any music under his main moniker, K15, since we last spoke to him in our Dimensions interview. However, this doesn’t mean he hasn’t kept himself busy. In December 2015, he released a collaborative EP under Wu15 with a good friend and colleague Henry Wu, which has just been repressed on Thursday last week! Following this, in February Kieron suddenly revealed a whole new LP under the alias Culross Close. This stunning LP out on the Japanese Sound Of Speed is certainly his most jazzy and experimental work to date.
With his work seeming to take on some new directions, we wanted to find out what has been influencing Kieron recently. His selection presents an expectedly varies taste, ranging from fresh grime by Kano to 1970s Chicago Soul. Listen and read about his choices below.
